Christ Is Risen!
Glory to God! We've completed the Lenten Fast, endured and rejoiced through the long services of Holy Week, exulted in the Glorious Bright Resurrection, and taken our well-earned refreshment. We finally made it to the goal of our annual spring struggle.
With all the luminosity and radiance of this week, let us be sure to remember this is also Renewal Week: "Behold, I make all things new."
Every Pascha we all undergo a type of new baptism: "As many as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ, alleluia!" Our own baptism is renewed; we receive a new beginning, a fresh start.
Our spiritual, ascetical life doesn't end at Pascha. Now is the time to "walk in newness of life." (Romans 6:4) Embrace the New Beginning.
May Christ grant you a bright, salvific Renewal.
Every day.
Yours in the Ever-Risen Christ,
Father Menas, Superior
And all the Brotherhood
